A child asked his father, “How were people born?” His father answered: “Adam and Eve made babies, then their babies became adults and made babies, and so on.” The child then went to his mother, asked her the same question and she told him, “We were monkeys then we evolved to become like we are now.” The child ran back to his father and said, “You lied to me!” His father replied, “No son, your mom was talking about her side of the family.”

Italian Italy Travels

Italian Tours

The Istituto Educazione Italiana organizes custom-designed tours to Italy for groups of 20-25 people. These tours emphasize art and culture and focus on little-known destinations that would not necessarily be on the itinerary of a first-time visitor. They are for sophisticated travelers who have already visited the canonical destination of Roma, Venezia, Firenze, Umbria, and Le Cinqueterre, and want to experience a deeper and more intimate Italian reality.

That said, the venues we visit are still of the highest cultural and artistic caliber, such as you would find in Roma, Firenze, and Venezia. In addition, through our intimate understanding of Italy, its language and its customs, and through the many friends and contact we have there, we are able to provide opportunities for customization and interactions that are not available in your typical commercial tour. Our close understanding of Italy and our ability to deal with Italian tour service providers also enables us to contain costs and offer top value to our guests.

The tour presented her has been especially crafted for members of the Leonardo da Vinci and Cenacolo Societies in San Francisco. It is now also open to non-members. Please call us or contact us by email

Adam and Eve’s pets

The Story of Adam & Eve’s Pets

Adam and Eve said, ‘Lord, when we were in the garden, we felt in touch with you everyday. Now, out of Eden we feel  lonesome and sometimes it is difficult for us to remember how much you love us.’

And God said, I will give you a companion that will be with you, and who will be a reflection of my love for you even now. Regardless of how selfish, or childish, or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are, and will love you as I do, in spite of yourselves..’

And God called the dog over, to be a companion for Adam and Eve.

And it was a good combination, and God was pleased. And the dog was pleased to be with Adam and Eve, and he wagged his tail And Dog lived with Adam and Eve, and was a companion to them, and loved them.

And they were comforted.

And God was pleased. And Dog was content, and wagged his tail.

After a while, it came to pass that an angel came to the Lord and said, ‘Lord, Adam and Eve have become filled with pride. They strut and preen like peacocks, and they believe they are worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught them that they are loved, but perhaps too well.’

And God said ” I will give them a companion who will be with them, and who will see them as they are. The companion will remind them of their limitations, so they will be reminded that they are not worthy of adoration.”

And God called CAT  and gave him over to be a special companion to Adam and Eve.

And Cat would not obey them. He would not follow them.  He would come to them and be cute only when he wanted something.  And when Adam and Eve gazed into Cat’s eyes, they were reminded that they were not the supreme beings.

And Adam and Eve learned humility.  And they were greatly improved.

And God was pleased. And Dog was happy.

And Cat . . .  Cat didn’t care, one way, or the other.
